Boast Not Thyself of Tomorrow

If anybody would have told me that on the 18th of Monday morning I would borrow my friends mini van to drive to the city to see my son and walk out of a car accident unharmed after blacking out for nearly 30 seconds, knocking down more than 10 secure guard rails, while driving on the edge of a 200 ft drop I wouldn’t have believed them and I don’t think you would have either, but what a mighty God we serve.

The Impact of the guardrails being hit is not what woke me, by the time I woke up I had already knocked over roughly 4 guard rails that’s how deep of a sleep I was in. It wasn’t even the fumes of the car that woke me but it was God’s Grace that not only woke me, but kept me. I thank God for taking control of the wheel while I was unconscious. If I moved to the right to get my car to hit the guardrails and on the other side of the guardrails there was nothing stopping me from moving over to the right a couple more inches to a 200 feet fall, which God prevented.

Some Lessons the Lord taught me through this.

1) James 4:15 "For that ye ought to say If the Lord will we shall live and do this or that".

I am man and my life is not in my hands, but God’s. He holds the future, present, and the past. I promised my son something that was out of my control. Instead of saying “Nyleek Daddy promises he’s going to see you Monday”. I should’ve said, “Nyleek Lord willing I will be able to drive down there to come see you Monday”

2) Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight".

If you acknowledge God in all your ways that just doesn’t mean communicating with him before you make a decision, but it also means understanding that he is sovereign and not to place anything before his will. When it comes to your wishes and desires make sure God still comes first. A key reason I was tired driving to the city is because I worked all night until the day helping my friend finish his short film. I knew I should be resting on the Sabbath as I usually do, but I said to myself “God understands”. Know he doesn’t understand lol God’s Will should always come first. Jesus reminds us in Mark that man wasn’t made for the Sabbath, but rather Sabbath was created for the man, something I did not honor that.

3) Proverbs 27:1 “Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth”.

Oh Boy was I boasting. I told the whole world I was driving down to the city to get my son and bringing him back up. I knew this was a fact in my heart…little did I know what tomorrow held.

My brothers and sisters learn from my mistakes and be wise. It’s good to know that we serve a God that doesn’t love us based off of our performance. If that was the case I would’ve been taken off the stage a long time ago. You don’t need a near death experience to know that many people didn’t’ make it to today, but your still here. God still has a purpose and a plan for your life. Get to know your savior Jesus Christ.

I diverted off the straight and narrow path and sped 80 miles per hour in the wrong direction…SLEEP! And yet God kept me. Is there a situation in your life that God has kept you even though you fell asleep causing you to divert off of the straight and narrow path?

"Lost and Found the Testimony" - Coming Soon

"Lost and Found the Testimony" was originally titled "Lost and Found Again the Testimony" and was originally going to be a silent film using clips from "The Passion of Joan of Arc" byDreyer. My reason for changing the title is because it was too lengthy. My reasons for changing it from a silent film, using found footage to an original film using actors is as follows.

1) The LORD placed it on my heart to show it as I saw it. And using found footage wouldn't be my testimony, but rather a Possibility of what could've happened-
2) In the Art world it would be respected, but it wouldn't be completely Original because of Found Footage.

What is Lost and Found the Testimony about?

"Lost and Found the Testimony" is a sequel to the short film "Lost and Found". I can sympathize with The Son of Sam and the Virginia Tech Shooter. Reason being is because I left my physical earthly presence and was thrown into a spiritual place and had it never been for the LORD Jesus Christ I would've been swallowed Up.

Mentally and Spiritually I was in a desert, but physically my body was on earth. God himself spoke to me out of the fire and let me know my disobedience should've been handled with Justice, but instead he showed me Mercy. The perception is when God shows Mercy it's easy for him, but thats not what I saw. I saw a struggle between Justice and Mercy- A battle between saving my life or ending it-

INT.LIVING ROOM-NIGHT

Anthony is leaning in watching the television, he slowly pulls his head back in shock.

What makes this film different?

Have any other people heard the voice of God speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived? Has any God ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by miraculous signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?... Transformed By God's Truth

“When we change the way we look at things the things we look at will change”- Anonymous

The Lord has placed it on my heart to speak to everyone about a new way of looking at things. Newspapers, Television Shows, commercials, Movies ect. This particular Post ad was shown to me first on this blog: http://sheluvsgod.xanga.com/

This picture had a divine meaning to me. A meaning that wasn’t intended by the artist, but intended by God. After this post please consider looking at things in this life differently from God’s Word point of view. Interested in knowing why she decided to post the picture I asked her what that picture meant to her; She replied,

@REMJrFilms very insightful question! I like to use many of my writings to make people feel loved and warm. So that pic was so warm to me

This is true. It’s a warm pic and it’s warm for a reason. Not the reason the artist intended it to be warm for. See the artist has intentions on promoting “Post”, BUT GOD had a different agenda. The Bible is filled with Parables and so is this World. Be careful though because metaphors can be both light and dark. What I speak of is Wisdom and metaphors that testify to God’s Glory and truth not vain preaching’s and man made philosophies that denotes the divinity of Jesus Christ.

This man in this picture metaphorically represents Jesus Christ. Notice how Jesus is emerged in the Words. The Words are apart of him and he’s apart of the Words. That metaphorically stands for GOD’s Word. His everlasting and unchanging Word. It say’s in John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.

Does this verse not represent this picture?

The woman in the picture represents all of God’s children who find comfort in the Word of God. He communicates to us through the Word! He hugs us. We feel at peace. Notice the tagline at the bottom of the picture. “If you really want to touch someone, send them a letter”. Is that not what God has done with us? Has he not sent us a letter. Not only a letter, but he sent a part of himself “Jesus Christ”, which was the walking WORD.

Have you ever got that encouraging Word from God while reading the Bible. Is this not how you feel after a message of hope from our Heavenly Father; After rebuke and correction and yet his love and protection. It say’s in Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind”. Body of Christ It’s time we make a complete change in our minds and put on "Kingdom Bound" thinking.

I encourage everyone to pass this Word on to everyone they know. Be encouraged and read the Word daily because they’re may come a time where we don’t have it. It’s good to know that God speaks to us even in AD’s. Your thoughts on this please. And also if there's anything you find God speaking to his children in please post. Tell the world. No one can look at this picture again it's been transformed by the Truth of God. Be blessed.

Looking at things differently can change the world”-Anonymous

When One Door Closes God Opens a Window

When most people say the phrase “When one door closes God opens another” or “When one door closes God opens a window” they look at it from an opportunity perspective, for the most part. God allowed me to lose my job so a better opportunity is going to open up for me ect. There’s nothing wrong with this, in that it’s true.

All things work out for those who love God. So if you know you love God and God said all things work out then there should be nothing you have to worry about, it’s going to work out for you!

I own a key chain that read’s “When one door closes God opens a window”. I thought about it in the same context as everyone else until God really opened a window for me. The phrase of faith wasn’t as literal anymore, but because of this experience it was figurative.

THERE was a time before a certain relationship ended in my life, that I would ponder on what to do next. While at a certain place a certain individual slammed the door. By this course of action and the words that were said between us allowed me to see a characteristic about this person that I just couldn't shake. Immediately following the closed door my key chain dropped. I picked it up and it read "When One door closes God opens a window". I had to give God a praise because that's exactly what happened. A door closed and God opened a window.

See how doors are meant to be shut while windows are meant to be open. When a window is opened light comes in. When you look through a window you can't hear sounds just see actions. While looking through the window I saw actions and from that God gave me the freewill to make the choice. I got understanding. My question to you is...

What windows are God opening for you in your life?

Proverbs 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Search God in "Avatar"

Looking at the film Avatar from the truth of God’s Word will reveal hidden messages within the movie. The writer of this film might have done it intentionally or not, but the truth remains that as viewers, believers, and doers of Gods Word we’re able to hear him speaking to us through this film.

This is the dilemma that the protagonist Corporal faces as he enters the world of Avatar. He initially goes in as part of the Colonels mission, but soon realizes who the evil one is. The sinners in this film are the Colonel and his gang. They go to shed innocent blood on a race of people that do the humans no harm all because of the precious goods there land posses. They murder them cold blooded for riches. This is exactly what God warns us about in Proverbs 1:10 when he says,
“My son, if sinners entice you,
do not consent.
11 If they say, “Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood;
let us ambush the innocent without reason…13 we shall find all precious goods,
we shall fill our houses with plunder…”

Although God wasn’t speaking to the protagonist he is speaking to us, his children, the believers of the Gospel. This is overlooked in the film. Gods Word stands is can be seen by his children If we search for it. The validity of his word is in plain sight to those who believe. Could God be ministering to his children through this film? Continue to read pray about it and you decide. Know that in order to view films in a way that we can see God's Word Made Manifest we must have knowledge about God's Word. We must have a relationship with him. That's the beauty of searching for God because everyone has there on experiences with him and can share new insights. Hidden messages not intentionally put there by the screen writer, but intentionally put there by God himself.

One must transform the way they view cinema and Look for God in it.
In one way the film and decisions made by Corporal can be looked at as scripted and of his own. But look again. Line up his decisions with the Word of God. Is God speaking to him? And if so is he also speaking through him to us? Corporal decides to fight against the EVIL one or the Colonel and his army. God say’s in proverbs 15 “my son, do not walk in the way with them;
hold back your foot from their paths” This is exactly what Corporal does when he realizes that these people have souls and it would be wrong to kill them for no reason.

16 for their feet run to evil,
and they make haste to shed blood”

Countless times the evil Colonel tries to take the Avatar by force while Corporal tries to by more time and make peace. Colonel is driven by money, rage, war, and blood shed.

17 For in vain is a net spread
in the sight of any bird,
18 but these men lie in wait for their own blood;
they set an ambush for their own lives.

Colonel and his army thought they would bomb the Avatar people get their gold and leave. Just like that shed innocent blood and make a fortune. WRONG. God say’s in the next verse,

19 Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors”

What happened to Colonel at the end of the film? HE dies as well as the rest of his army with only a few remaining. They went against God’s Law. They were greedy of gain and suffered the consequences. They sought to take life, but instead they’re lives were taken.

Now with this same mentality let’s look at what God is has to say about the protagonist (Corporal) based off his Word.

13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding,
14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.
15 She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.
16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed”

Corporal makes the decision to side with the Avatar based off of Wisdom. He chooses to stand by the Avatar instead of his own human race. God calls this man Blessed because he chose to walk in the way of wisdom and remove his foot from the evil path. God say’s that the gain of wisdom is better than gold and silver. HE gained wisdom by learning the culture of the Avatar an saw them as his own. Colonel on the other hand remained ignorant although the scientists as well as the protagonist try to give him some insight. He becomes the great warrior of the land and is honored and respected by all who dwell therin. He was first an outcast, but because he chose wisdom over silver he became honored. Wow if God isn’t speaking in this movie than I don’t know who is.

Although this film speaks about Demi gods we as Christians need to look past that and hold on to the morals of the one and true Living God, Jesus Christ.

In my efforts not to bore you all to death I cut it short, but part 2 will be posted soon. Also this is what the book “See God Daily” is about. It’s about transforming our minds to search for the God who sought us not only in film, but other mediums of entertainment as well. Remember he is Omnipotent and Omnipresent. I would love to hear your ideas and anything else you would like to say. God Bless.

The LORD Woke Me UP!

I have a lot to be thankful for on thanksgiving and even more to be thankful for this day. It is now 3:35 as I sit here in the basement of the lecture hall capturing the holiday footage and writing this blog. Before I continue let me just say it is by the Grace of God that I am here today and because of that I would like to you why.

This Thanksgiving was everything, but a break for me. Matter of fact schools shouldn't even call this holiday a Break unless they mean it literally because between Gas, School Work, my son, dealing with his mother, and having extra energy for my 2 nieces and nephew I WAS BROKE lol. Anyway Sunday comes and my sister convinces me that I'm to tired to hit the road not only that since I would be traveling back to Binghamton from the glorious New York City by myself this time around I should wait until other people are on the road so if I get lost I could ask for directions.

Although I listened to my intelligent sister I still managed to get lost Monday morning. It usually takes 3 hours to get to Binghamton I left at 8:15 in hopes to get to school in time for my first class at 12:00 p.m. Everything was going good until I reached some bridge then the directions I had in my hand got fussy. Missed a couple of exits and entered a couple of dead ends before I decided to ask someone other than GOD what was going on.

Many of times on my trip back I was led down blocks and billboards in where the Lord reminded me that his grace was upon me this day and although I was lost I felt comforted. God directed me to the right people in order to get me on the right path the only problem now was the time. It became 12:33 out of nowhere and fatigue started to kick in. My car only plays tapes so I borrowed many tapes from my sister about 30 before I left and played only 3 the whole trip. R&B and one Gospel tape was to my disposal. I felt myself getting tired so I pulled over to the side of the road and did what any normal thinking person would do...FELL ASLEEP.

1/2 an hour later I wake up to a call from my sons mother The call didn't go well, but I still had my Joy-
Back to the road. As I start to drive down 7W I see a sign that reads "Binghamton 87 miles". I gasped, but to my surprise or maybe not it came out as a YAWnnnn. I start blinking first for short periods of time then for loooooooooonger periods of time to the point where I was blacking out. I knew this wasn't safe, but I convinced myself to continue to drive (dumb Idea)! I doze off for 5 seconds and begin to drift off to the right. The off-road bumps help me to sleep until I wake up right before I'm about to hit the edge of the steel rail bar on the highway. PHEW. I start thanking the Lord. That could've been the end of my life, But it doesn't end there.

God was persistent in getting his point across. Not only in showing me it is by his Grace that I missed the steel rail bar, but that doing what I know is wrong...Is well WRONG. The next time I decide to doze off which is minutes after I wake up to me hitting over Orange cones about as tall as my car. I knock over 3 of them and this time Thank the LORD for WAKING ME UP!

God Directs all Steps

"You say I can't make it God say's "You can". You say My problems are to much for me, God say's "I never put more on you than you can bare". You say when is it going to stop "God say's When you turn to me". You say everybody turned there back on me, God say's "I never turned my back on you"-

When I first wrote this message on face book I thought it was for anybody, but me. God ad put it on my heart to say these exact words at this exact time and it wasn't until the next day I would need these encouraging words more than ever. Well not more than ever, lets just say they came at the right time.

A month earlier-

Me: I can't believe it. I have the money to pay my HSBC account and when I get there they tell me it's been closed. Wow. it's alright though because I know all things work out for good for those who love God. So can I reopen it? No? Are you serious? Only because I was over drawn 81 dollars for a couple of weeks or months, there has to be something you can do I was making payments. Nothing you can do? Okay so can I pay my HSBC credit card here I owe 887.00.

HSBC: Yes you can do that here let me pull up your account information.

Me: I forgot to mention I owed about 1300 but the 887.00 is the settlement price just in case that's the price that comes up.

HSBC: It's best you don't pay through the bank because they might take the whole thing. It's a complicated situation it's best if you pay by phone-

About 3 days later I open up an account with Citizens Bank. 2 days after that I call HSBC credit card to pay the debt off .

Phone: Raymond Moore you owe a balance of 421.00

Me: What? Something must be wrong I didn't pay anything.

Representative: Hello, this conversation is to collect a debt...How may I help you.

Me: (confused, but Confident) It say's I owe 421, but how is that possible if the account closed at 887?

Representative: Yes, it say's here Raymond that you made a payment of 887.00 and the remaining balance will clear after 4 months...

Me: (Still confused) Real quick, could you tell me how i made the payment please.

Representative: Yes sir let me check ... You made it by phone...

After i hung up the phone and right before I began to rejoice I turned around and saw something special. "With God all things are possible". I started to praise God because he just cleared my debt- Or did he? I still got letters from the bank, but I paid no attention to them because the Representative told me it would take 4 months before it's cleared. Beside Jesus Had my back.

1 month Later-

I call HSBC because when I logged into my easy view account to pay capital one I see my balance sky rocketed. I get a little nervous, but I don't worry. I call and find out my HSBC account has went from 443-0 all the way up to 1536 and rising. I can't believe it. All this time I thought God had me I thought God put it on somebody's heart to pay the credit card and it was false. Why didn't God let me know it wasn't him who worked this miracle? Come to find out when we made the settlement they took the funds from my CLOSED HSBC account and then the check bounced. The pay by phone is when we set up a date to pay it before I knew my bank closed on me.

But in the midst of it all God came through and brought to remembrance what he inspired me to write in the first place which is the first words you read in this blog. God is Good. I will seek him and put my trust in him and I suggest you all do the same. Good night brothers and sisters.
