A Thousand Words

Is there any relationship between the spiritual state of a man and a tree? Countless times in the Bible we see Jesus using trees in parables to teach and explain his relationship with us. For example in Matthew 12:33 Jesus tells us, "Make a tree good and it's fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and it's fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by it's fruit". Here you see the direct connection between a man and a tree. Again in John 15L4-5 Jesus say's:

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of its self, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me you can do nothing".

So it is no surprise to me in Mark 8:22-25 when Jesus heals the blind man in Bethsaida that the first thing the blind man says he sees men as trees walking. Let's make no mistake about it, Jesus makes no mistakes! Is there something here that Jesus is trying to show us? Is it possible that this man who was once blind, after Jesus spit on his eyes was able to see the spiritual state of man? In learning about tree is there something we can possibly learn about the nature and spiritual state of a man?

The movie "A Thousand Words" gives us some insight on the relationship between a tree and the spiritual state of a man. We get to see how Jack McCall's words effect not only his spiritual and natural state, but other people as well. At the beginning of the film Jack McCall is a book agent and often lands his clients through deceit and persuasiveness, which comes from his gift of gab. He doesn't understand the effect of his words, neither does he consider the damage they do until an unexpected tree grows in his backyard. This tree is representative of Jacks spiritual state. Whenever he talks or writes a leaf falls off of the tree. When all the leaves fall off this tree Jack McCall dies in the natural. This experience teaches him to watch not only the words he says, but also the words he writes.

The Bible teaches us in Proverbs 17:28 "Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise: and he that shuts his lips is esteemed a man of understanding". Jack McCall held his peace because he understood every word he spoke led closer to his death: "For by your words you shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned" Matthew 12:37. Up until the final scenes of this film, Jack McCall's words were condemning him. With this level of awareness came a great level of responsibility, but even with this responsibility somehow Jack is still able to be irresponsible and waste his words.

Let's fast forward to the scene where Jack seeks to find his answer to life's problems in a bottle of liquor. The more he drank the more he became drunk. The more he became drunk the more he began to talk. The more he talked the more life he lost. (This moment in the film directly reminded me of the times I would foolishly sin knowing that the wages equalled death). Just as he was about to commit suicide with his foolish, careless, and reckless words, his assistant said to him "What are you doing? Stop! You're going to die!". This scene is so powerful because as Christians it shows us the importance of accountability. The Bible tells us in Ecclesicates 4:9-10 "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up". We must begin to realize that Jack made his problem known to his assistant. Without knowing Jacks situation how would have his assistant known to stop Eddie from talking? Since Jack was stiff-necked like so many of us Christians can be and are, he didn't want to stop talking. His sin blinded him and the consequences of his actions. Jesus let's us know that sin is deceitful! Since his assistant was there he balled his fist up and knocked him out cold! As believers we sometimes need some faithful brothers and sisters to straight up knock us out when necessary! A wise man when rebuked will become yet the more wiser.

The morning after Jack's deliberate sin or deliberate talking he see's his tree...his spiritual state. It is now that he finally realizes what he has done. It is now that he is remorseful and feels sorry for his sin. He realizes this tree is for real. He understands in the depths of his soul there is nothing that he can do to add leaves to his tree...add more time to his life. Have you ever been in this place before in your own life? That place where you you are completely naked and vulnerable before God. You messed up so bad you realize there is nothing you can do in your power that can save you? Everything you did usually led to more problems? More heartache, more disappointment, and more pain? I know I have.

One thing that Jack did was take a hold of what Bishop TD Jakes calls the NOW Moment. Paul say's it like this in Philippians 3:13 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" . It made no since for Jack to be stuck in the past over the words he wasted, so instead he chose to forget those things that were behind him and reach for those things that were ahead. I have come to tell you if your still alive then those things that are behind you, you have to forget and those things that are in front of you reach for! Grace and salvation are in front of you! It was now that Jack chose to tell those close to him that he loved them. Pointing to his soon to be wife and his child he utters this phrase: "You, me, baby, Eternity". He chooses these words wisely and as an effect it's the most powerful dialogue he's ever spoken. While standing at his fathers burial site, the man who abandoned him as a child he uttered his final words from his heart: "I forgive you". These words, which took his life are the same words that God used to restore his life. Consider Matthew 6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses". Luke 6:37 "...Forgive and you shall be forgiven"

...and by your words you shall be justified...

TRAILER REVIEW: Harry Potter And the Deathly Hallows

- Please Watch this trailer Before and After Reading. Thank you and let the spirit of the LORD be with you.

These are dark times there is no denying

What Christian can deny that we aren’t in dark times? The wars and rumors of wars. Earthquakes in divers places. Mass animals deaths occurring with no trace of poison or anything. We are living in revelations right now. These are in deed dark times. Jesus talks to us about being able to know the weather given the signs and being able to know when a new season is about to dawn given the signs. Similarly we are to discern the times we are in now.

“…And when the south wind blow ye say, There wil be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time”? Luke 12:55-56

I believe in this time, for his purpose. God is revealing himself in an unconventional way one that has been prophesied by Medina Pullings: “…some people are going to be converted by watching a sitcom thats going to be released…they going to think they watching it for the wonderful cars and the lamborginis and the fashion but they gonna get down to the nitty gritty that it’s all about Jesus…”—Medina P.

Our world has faced no greater threat than it does today

“…for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened”—Matthew 24:21-22

Jesus is telling us something here. He’s letting us know that we are going to face a tribulation greater than anything the world has ever encountered before. Not only that look at where technology has evolved. True God has a purpose for it, but satan has perverted the internet and even advertisements to gratify the flesh. I remember when one would be ashamed to discuss pornography now making home videos are all over the net for people to see...FOR FREE.

But you can’t fight this war on your own Mr. Potter…He’s too Strong

Many of you reading this post right now know that the enemy is too strong to fight him alone. If your out of fellowship and out of prayer your armor is weak and can be penetrated by the enemy. Let’s take from the example of Jesus. He was either with his disciples or alone in prayer with the Father. When the enemy came up against him in the desert he was able to fight him off with the WORD of God. We too must remain in fellowship with God and with faithful brothers and sisters in Christ, if we’re going to stand against the enemy and prevail. We can’t fight this war alone. The enemy isn't to be feared but he is too be respected. "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds"

We have infiltrated the ministry

Infiltrate means to enter or to gain access. Sin, Disobedience allows the satan to gain access in our lives and into the ministry, which the Lord has given us. What we’ll find out is that although satan may have infiltrated your ministry if you be zealous and repent God will use it to work out in your favor and for his glory. He will rebuild the breach in your spirit.

Much like what the Lord has allowed me to experience. I didn’t know I was infiltrating the enemies territory, but the Lord was walking with me the entire step of the way. He didn’t allow me to lose my mind like many have. Through that experience he started to guide me in his Word and began slowly transforming my mind, letting me in on some of the secrets he’s placed within his creation. Imagine if each child of God put on this same mind the hidden things that would be revealed!

You have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide

One of the greatest tricks the enemy is to use our secrets to torment us. The things we can’t say. The things in which we hide. Not knowing that these very things God wants to bring to light because someone else’s deliverance is in your testimony. I’m not speaking of continuous backsliding or rebellion, I’m speaking about your healing from it!

There are some things the Devil wants you to keep secret so that you’ll never be healed from them. He wants to keep you his slave…his puppet. We become afraid to approach God. He says come Boldly to the throne of grace, but when we are feeble in the spirit and in sin and can’t even step up to the alter for our healing because we are in shame it’s impossible to be bold. James 5:16 say’s “confess your sins one to another and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much”. When God brings Light we’re able to know what to clean up in our lives.

The longer we stay here the stronger he gets

What environment are you in right now that may be a stumbling block to you? Where are you staying that is causing you to fall into sin. What thoughts are you mediating on? The longer you stay in “that” spot the hungrier your flesh gets. The stronger your desires get. And the stronger the enemy becomes in that area of your life. Allow God to take you out of that environment.

Notice Peter’s environment when he denied Christ 3 times. He warmed himself with sinners. He became comfortable around those who were in alliance with crucifying Jesus Christ. Bad business. In order to get ahead in life, to fit in, to feel regular what ever it is you may be compromising your faith for and setting yourself up to deny Christ in your own life, Don’t stay there any longer.

I have seen your heart and it is mine

This is a lie from the enemy. A lie to get you to fear; for if you fear you have not been made perfect in love. A lie to get you to doubt; For if you doubt your not walking in faith. If you’ve watched the trailer this line comes after “We have infiltrated the ministry”. This is key because satan is strongest when we fall into the lust of our flesh or choose to sin against God. We give way to the enemy and he’s now able to have a greater influence on our thoughts. Once he breaches the spirit he can say something bold like “I have seen your heart and it is mine” and you may just believe him.

----------Since This Is War-------------------------------------------------

June 6th 1994 was a memorable day for this country. That day was known as D-Day during War World II. During this war they had two systems put in place by Supreme Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower. One of them being P.L.U.T.O (Pipe Line Under The Ocean) which, Supply allied forces in Normandy with Fuel and another being U.L.T.R.A. which was an intelligent source that deciphered coded radio and gave vital information on troop deployments. Christians aren't we at war? Aren't we in the LAST DAY'S? Is our God a God who a far off and not near? Do we not serve a Living God?

I believe that in these last day's God is supplying us with fuel in an Unconventional way. I believe he is giving us information about our enemy and ways to defeat him in an Unconventional way. Morse Code one in where his children can receive it, but it is hidden from those separated from Christ:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them

-Matthew 13:15

Closing thoughts—

One thing we have to understand about Harry Potter is that he’s Chosen. There is one scene in the movie that really resonates to me, one in which can be seen in the trailer as well. Harry’s friends all dress up like him to distract those evil forces who sought to kill him. Why would the author write this? What is the Purpose? It’s because Harry Potter is chosen and has a purpose. His purpose is so great that the author saw it fit to put other characters lives on the line or even sacrfice other characters to help Harry in fulfilling his purpose, a purpose that is to be fulfilled though him, but one that is greater than him.

Just like you are chosen. God being the Author, the Screenwriter placed you in particular setting and because you are chosen and created with Purpose he will Redeem you. He will Heal you. Not for your sake, but for his names sakes. Isaiah 43:4 reads “because you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life”. in the Lord’s sight he will give men in exchange for your life.” Is this not what the creator of Harry Potter did for Harry?

Through parables Jesus wasn’t only teaching, but he was encouraging his disciples to look at the things around them with spiritual eyes. He encouraged them to look at a tree and a vine and not just merely see a tree and a vine, but see it in it’s relation to the Kingdom. Continue to be constantly transformed by the Word and the things around you will become the Word†

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Analysis

Lets take a look at the title “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows”. It seems like a bit of an oxymoron because Deathly symbolizes death, dark ect. Hallow symbolizes Holy, life. When I look at Harry Potter I automatically cancel out the name Harry and look to the name “Potter” and think about God: “O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand” Isaiah 64:8”. He is the Potter, we are the clay. He is the one who forms, shapes and creates us just like the screenwriter is the one who forms, shapes, and creates the characters in a screenplay. It would seem more plausible to me then to title the film “Harry Clay and the Deathly Hallows” since Harry is in fact a created character. For one to understand the relevance of the title “Harry Potter” one must first understand who or what the deathly hallows symbolize. (Remember this is coming from a Biblical standpoint and not from the standpoint of screenwriter Steve Kloves or Author J.K Rowling).

“The Deathly Hallows” are those angels spoke about in Jude 1:6 who didn’t keep their first HOLY estate, but rebelled against God. Now take away harry from the title and it reads, “Potter” and the Deathly Hallows. Potter as creator, as in artist, as in originator, as in Yahweh, as in Jesus Christ being the Potter going to war with fallen Angels, who are now soldiers in an army for the prince of darkness of this world. Why would satan be recruiting members to fight in his army if there wasn’t going to be a war? Why would the Potter be going to war with the Deathly Hallows?

“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army” Revelation 19:19

Even if this doesn’t have anything to do with the concept of the Movie it has everything to do with the Reality of the spiritual warfare mankind is in. We are created in the image of God therefore we are first spirits.

My friends, brothers and sisters what we are seeing on television and movies are not merely just entertainment, It’s SPIRITUAL WARFARE. Television has in times past been broke down into TELL-A-VISION. Who’s vision is being told? Who are the holders of the vision? Are they not the Screenwriters? God says in Romans 12:2 to be transformed in the mind. I once read this quote “If we change the way we look at things the things we look at will change”. What if God is trying to show his children something? Reveal something to his children? In my next blog Lord willing, we will be dissecting the trailer to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”. Be blessed

Boast Not Thyself of Tomorrow

If anybody would have told me that on the 18th of Monday morning I would borrow my friends mini van to drive to the city to see my son and walk out of a car accident unharmed after blacking out for nearly 30 seconds, knocking down more than 10 secure guard rails, while driving on the edge of a 200 ft drop I wouldn’t have believed them and I don’t think you would have either, but what a mighty God we serve.

The Impact of the guardrails being hit is not what woke me, by the time I woke up I had already knocked over roughly 4 guard rails that’s how deep of a sleep I was in. It wasn’t even the fumes of the car that woke me but it was God’s Grace that not only woke me, but kept me. I thank God for taking control of the wheel while I was unconscious. If I moved to the right to get my car to hit the guardrails and on the other side of the guardrails there was nothing stopping me from moving over to the right a couple more inches to a 200 feet fall, which God prevented.

Some Lessons the Lord taught me through this.

1) James 4:15 "For that ye ought to say If the Lord will we shall live and do this or that".

I am man and my life is not in my hands, but God’s. He holds the future, present, and the past. I promised my son something that was out of my control. Instead of saying “Nyleek Daddy promises he’s going to see you Monday”. I should’ve said, “Nyleek Lord willing I will be able to drive down there to come see you Monday”

2) Proverbs 3:6 "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight".

If you acknowledge God in all your ways that just doesn’t mean communicating with him before you make a decision, but it also means understanding that he is sovereign and not to place anything before his will. When it comes to your wishes and desires make sure God still comes first. A key reason I was tired driving to the city is because I worked all night until the day helping my friend finish his short film. I knew I should be resting on the Sabbath as I usually do, but I said to myself “God understands”. Know he doesn’t understand lol God’s Will should always come first. Jesus reminds us in Mark that man wasn’t made for the Sabbath, but rather Sabbath was created for the man, something I did not honor that.

3) Proverbs 27:1 “Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth”.

Oh Boy was I boasting. I told the whole world I was driving down to the city to get my son and bringing him back up. I knew this was a fact in my heart…little did I know what tomorrow held.

My brothers and sisters learn from my mistakes and be wise. It’s good to know that we serve a God that doesn’t love us based off of our performance. If that was the case I would’ve been taken off the stage a long time ago. You don’t need a near death experience to know that many people didn’t’ make it to today, but your still here. God still has a purpose and a plan for your life. Get to know your savior Jesus Christ.

I diverted off the straight and narrow path and sped 80 miles per hour in the wrong direction…SLEEP! And yet God kept me. Is there a situation in your life that God has kept you even though you fell asleep causing you to divert off of the straight and narrow path?

"Lost and Found the Testimony" - Coming Soon

"Lost and Found the Testimony" was originally titled "Lost and Found Again the Testimony" and was originally going to be a silent film using clips from "The Passion of Joan of Arc" byDreyer. My reason for changing the title is because it was too lengthy. My reasons for changing it from a silent film, using found footage to an original film using actors is as follows.

1) The LORD placed it on my heart to show it as I saw it. And using found footage wouldn't be my testimony, but rather a Possibility of what could've happened-
2) In the Art world it would be respected, but it wouldn't be completely Original because of Found Footage.

What is Lost and Found the Testimony about?

"Lost and Found the Testimony" is a sequel to the short film "Lost and Found". I can sympathize with The Son of Sam and the Virginia Tech Shooter. Reason being is because I left my physical earthly presence and was thrown into a spiritual place and had it never been for the LORD Jesus Christ I would've been swallowed Up.

Mentally and Spiritually I was in a desert, but physically my body was on earth. God himself spoke to me out of the fire and let me know my disobedience should've been handled with Justice, but instead he showed me Mercy. The perception is when God shows Mercy it's easy for him, but thats not what I saw. I saw a struggle between Justice and Mercy- A battle between saving my life or ending it-

INT.LIVING ROOM-NIGHT

Anthony is leaning in watching the television, he slowly pulls his head back in shock.

What makes this film different?

Have any other people heard the voice of God speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived? Has any God ever tried to take for himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by miraculous signs and wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?... Transformed By God's Truth

“When we change the way we look at things the things we look at will change”- Anonymous

The Lord has placed it on my heart to speak to everyone about a new way of looking at things. Newspapers, Television Shows, commercials, Movies ect. This particular Post ad was shown to me first on this blog: http://sheluvsgod.xanga.com/

This picture had a divine meaning to me. A meaning that wasn’t intended by the artist, but intended by God. After this post please consider looking at things in this life differently from God’s Word point of view. Interested in knowing why she decided to post the picture I asked her what that picture meant to her; She replied,

@REMJrFilms very insightful question! I like to use many of my writings to make people feel loved and warm. So that pic was so warm to me

This is true. It’s a warm pic and it’s warm for a reason. Not the reason the artist intended it to be warm for. See the artist has intentions on promoting “Post”, BUT GOD had a different agenda. The Bible is filled with Parables and so is this World. Be careful though because metaphors can be both light and dark. What I speak of is Wisdom and metaphors that testify to God’s Glory and truth not vain preaching’s and man made philosophies that denotes the divinity of Jesus Christ.

This man in this picture metaphorically represents Jesus Christ. Notice how Jesus is emerged in the Words. The Words are apart of him and he’s apart of the Words. That metaphorically stands for GOD’s Word. His everlasting and unchanging Word. It say’s in John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”.

Does this verse not represent this picture?

The woman in the picture represents all of God’s children who find comfort in the Word of God. He communicates to us through the Word! He hugs us. We feel at peace. Notice the tagline at the bottom of the picture. “If you really want to touch someone, send them a letter”. Is that not what God has done with us? Has he not sent us a letter. Not only a letter, but he sent a part of himself “Jesus Christ”, which was the walking WORD.

Have you ever got that encouraging Word from God while reading the Bible. Is this not how you feel after a message of hope from our Heavenly Father; After rebuke and correction and yet his love and protection. It say’s in Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind”. Body of Christ It’s time we make a complete change in our minds and put on "Kingdom Bound" thinking.

I encourage everyone to pass this Word on to everyone they know. Be encouraged and read the Word daily because they’re may come a time where we don’t have it. It’s good to know that God speaks to us even in AD’s. Your thoughts on this please. And also if there's anything you find God speaking to his children in please post. Tell the world. No one can look at this picture again it's been transformed by the Truth of God. Be blessed.

Looking at things differently can change the world”-Anonymous

When One Door Closes God Opens a Window

When most people say the phrase “When one door closes God opens another” or “When one door closes God opens a window” they look at it from an opportunity perspective, for the most part. God allowed me to lose my job so a better opportunity is going to open up for me ect. There’s nothing wrong with this, in that it’s true.

All things work out for those who love God. So if you know you love God and God said all things work out then there should be nothing you have to worry about, it’s going to work out for you!

I own a key chain that read’s “When one door closes God opens a window”. I thought about it in the same context as everyone else until God really opened a window for me. The phrase of faith wasn’t as literal anymore, but because of this experience it was figurative.

THERE was a time before a certain relationship ended in my life, that I would ponder on what to do next. While at a certain place a certain individual slammed the door. By this course of action and the words that were said between us allowed me to see a characteristic about this person that I just couldn't shake. Immediately following the closed door my key chain dropped. I picked it up and it read "When One door closes God opens a window". I had to give God a praise because that's exactly what happened. A door closed and God opened a window.

See how doors are meant to be shut while windows are meant to be open. When a window is opened light comes in. When you look through a window you can't hear sounds just see actions. While looking through the window I saw actions and from that God gave me the freewill to make the choice. I got understanding. My question to you is...

What windows are God opening for you in your life?

Proverbs 16:16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!
