When One Door Closes God Opens a Window

When most people say the phrase “When one door closes God opens another” or “When one door closes God opens a window” they look at it from an opportunity perspective, for the most part. God allowed me to lose my job so a better opportunity is going to open up for me ect. There’s nothing wrong with this, in that it’s true.

All things work out for those who love God. So if you know you love God and God said all things work out then there should be nothing you have to worry about, it’s going to work out for you!

I own a key chain that read’s “When one door closes God opens a window”. I thought about it in the same context as everyone else until God really opened a window for me. The phrase of faith wasn’t as literal anymore, but because of this experience it was figurative.

THERE was a time before a certain relationship ended in my life, that I would ponder on what to do next. While at a certain place a certain individual slammed the door. By this course of action and the words that were said between us allowed me to see a characteristic about this person that I just couldn't shake. Immediately following the closed door my key chain dropped. I picked it up and it read "When One door closes God opens a window". I had to give God a praise because that's exactly what happened. A door closed and God opened a window.

See how doors are meant to be shut while windows are meant to be open. When a window is opened light comes in. When you look through a window you can't hear sounds just see actions. While looking through the window I saw actions and from that God gave me the freewill to make the choice. I got understanding. My question to you is...

What windows are God opening for you in your life?

God Uses You to Represent Him

While at a meeting I had the privilege of meeting this great photographer. He has lived an accomplished life: Author of 10 extraordinary books and fantastic artwork. After the meeting we still had some things to discuss so he suggested that I stop by his studio. I believe the Lord allows things to happen for a reason so I accepted his offer and I followed behind him in my car.

I parked my car and entered the front door of his studio. I wasn’t surprised to see tons of breathless artwork and a desk filled with many papers because after all, this guy is well known in the town. Our discussion continued on to his office where I took a seat. To my far left over my shoulder there hung a picture of the last supper. Directly in front of me where the Artist sat there hung a picture of Jesus Christ. Seeing this I rejoiced in the spirit and asked the man if he believed in Jesus Christ. Hearing this he replied, “Yea I think he was an alien”. I laughed because I thought it was a joke. So I ask him if he was serious and he say’s “Yes I’m serious” and explains to me his reasoning.

While he spoke I looked up at the picture that was placed directly above the chair he sat in. Jesus stared directly at me, but the photographer didn’t notice him because he had his back toward him. It all came together after that. I thought to myself “Hey I’m Gods representative”. My friend don’t you know you are God’s Representative! He doesn’t have to part waters for every one; he showed you his might so that you may have the faith to bring another to Christ. Truth be told, God led me from ENYFA to Binghamton in part to share my faith with this elderly man. Isn’t God Good? He is the director of all steps. We both though we we’re going to his studio to discuss art and future plan, BUT GOD had another Idea. It was a DIVINE APPOINMENT!

I did a silent prayer and asked the Lord to give me the words to minister to this man without coming across as proud or having a spirit of ‘I’m right your wrong’. The Lord placed parables on my tongue to minister to him with. Not only that, but he also placed on my heart to share some of my testimony with him.

I told him that since I was in foster care the Lord has always placed people in my life to get me to the next level in where God wanted me to be. I spoke to him about a woman whom we both knew named Laura, a woman whom he had just met. While in the meeting earlier he complimented her on her dedication and enthusiasm. She then went on to say she’s the only one at her job with it. I explained to him the first time I met her I said to her, “I know you’re the best at what you do. I know you go above and beyond for your clients because God places these people in my life”. I was able to call it right off the back because of God’s Grace. Needless to say she goes out of her way for her clients beyond the job description you name it. Not only that she tells me that she doesn’t take walk ins, but decided to take me before her way out. DIVINE APPOINTMENT.

I shared this with the elderly artist and like his photography career “He got the picture”. We laughed and peace entered my spirit. It was as if God was telling me “I’ll take it from here”. I ask that you all pray for this man call him "The artist" God will know who you're talking about;)

My friend God will move you to a place where he can use you. With that said the same way a country chooses a leader to represent them in the UN God chooses us to represent his Kingdom in the world- Go out and Represent God

Sex Sells Don't Be a Sell OUT-

Wake up Body of Christ. (including myself). I am not perfect I am a sinner like everyone who reads this blog. As believers we may not be where God has called us to be, but we're not where we use to be Praise God. With that said lets jump into todays topic: "Sex Sells: Don't Be a Sell Out"

Nobody is new to the term "sex sells". The Mass Media is good at selling sex. Everything from Internet Porn to Music Videos. Porn is a little to explicit for what I want to speak with you all about so I'm going to talk about Widely accepted Music Videos on Television.

Lady Gaga and Beyonce have a new song and video out titled "Video Phone". I understand artistic expression and I don't want to fault or condemn either of these two beautiful women for there performance, but rather speak to the Body of Christ about the strong hold that satan has over the media and the audience. #1 sex sells so as an entertainer if your not being sexual or attractive YOU AINT SELLING (for the most part).

So where does that put us God's children.(The audience/viewers/consumers)

If you've seen the video like I have and watched it completely through then somewhere in your heart you lusted. Maybe not it might've just been me. I had to repent after watching this video then God helped me to realize something, it's not just this video it's all over the media. Satan has found away to get God's followers to disobey God and think it's alright. News Flash if your lusting after any of these women ITS NOT ALRIGHT umm it's actually ADULTERY. Don't take my word on it lets ask God.

Matt 5:28 whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
1Cor 6;18 which says flee from sexual immorality

What does this all mean? Do your best to please God. If it means turning off your favorite performer because you once dealt with someone who did the same body movements ect to turn you on and cause you to lust for her...DO IT! The most relationship ever is the relationship with God not the relationship with your BF/GF that you may or may not be cheating on, but thats for another topic ;)
